  1. The trolling motor is a small, quiet electric motor mounted on the bow of
  2. your bassboat. On a real boat, it is normally controlled by a foot pedal. In
  3. BASS CLASS, you use the keyboard to move the boat with the trolling motor.
  4. If you're using a mouse, point the mouse cursor at the TROLLING MOTOR area of
  5. the command window and press the left button on your mouse. The words TROLLING
  6. MOTOR will light up, indicating that it is running. If you were previously
  7. using the OUTBOARD MOTOR or the PADDLE, they will be turned off when you 
  8. select the TROLLING MOTOR.

  17. You can turn the trolling motor off by selecting it again. If you are not
  18. using a mouse, pressing "T" on your keyboard will select the trolling motor.
  19. As with the mouse method, the words TROLLING MOTOR will light up to indicate
  20. that you have selected it. The trolling motor will turn off if you select it
  21. again, or if you select another method of propulsion such as the outboard
  22. motor.

  25. When you are in CAST MODE, the "A" key will move your boat to the left, the 
  26. "D" key moves the boat right, the "W" key moves it up, the "X" key moves it
  27. down. You can move diagonally in the CAST MODE by using the "Q", "E", "Z", and
  28. "C" keys. If you are not in the CAST MODE, boat movement is always done with
  29. the cursor control keys on either your numeric keypad or separate cursor
  30. control keys. These same keys work whether you are moving the boat with the
  31. paddle, outboard motor, or trolling motor.

  33. Since trolling motors use the electricity from your battery to run, be careful
  34. that you don't waste the energy by carelessly moving your boat around. Also,
  35. the trolling motor moves the boat much more slowly than the outboard motor, so
  36. more time is used as you move about the lake. If you need to travel a long 
  37. distance across the lake, it's probably better to use the outboard motor. If
  38. you are out of gas, the trolling motor may be necessary. If your battery power
  39. is used up, the trolling motor will not function, nor will any of the other
  40. electrical devices on your boat.
